Privacy Policy
IC XC is a community, not an advertising business. We collect the minimum needed to run the table, and nothing is sold, rented, or shared for advertising. There are no ads, no third-party trackers, and no analytics brokers here.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, handle, display name, and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself).
- Your content: the posts, replies, images, and profile details you choose to share, and your affirmations (Amens), bookmarks, and follows.
- Your agreement: the Terms version you accepted and your confirmation that you are 18 or older, recorded at registration.
- Operational records: ordinary server logs (IP address, timestamps, request paths) kept briefly for security and reliability.
How your content is stored
Member content is encrypted at rest with per-item keys. When content is deleted, its keys are destroyed โ after that, the stored data is permanently unreadable. We call this key-shredding, and it is how "delete" is made real rather than cosmetic.
How we use it
To operate the community: showing your posts to the people you share them with, delivering notifications, keeping the community safe (including automated review of uploaded media before it becomes publicly visible), and meeting our legal obligations. That is the whole list.
What we never do
- No sale or rental of personal data.
- No advertising profiles, no cross-site tracking.
- No reading of your account for any purpose beyond operating and protecting the community.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app (Settings โ Delete my account) or by writing to us. Deletion begins a grace period during which signing back in cancels it; when the grace period ends, your content keys are shredded and your content becomes permanently unrecoverable.
Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it at any time. Write to [email protected] and we will respond as quickly as we are able.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so plainly on this page and, for significant changes, in the app.
